I hear the question in kids' Sunday School classes this morning was whether the kids had ever had a missionary over at their house. My friend Lucy had to say she had never had a missionary over. And then I dropped by tonight. Who knew? She called me by my full name the whole night. While playing Uno, it was "Melanie Currie, its your turn." Or "Melanie Currie, switch cards with me." So amazingly endearing. I'm so humbled to be seen as a specialty somehow in some kids' lives. May they see Jesus more than me.
I shared this morning at church as well, with the other eight missionaries preparing to be sent out from our church. It was an honor to share the new stories. The Lord continues growing me to be his servant for his work.
