One reason I love Thailand is for all the Public Holidays! In the last two months, we've had seven holidays! Starting with the crazy water festival holiday and ending this past Monday. But each holiday holds special significance to Thailand and its Buddhist roots.
Monday, Thailand celebrated Visakha Bucha Day marking the day Buddha was born, reached enlightenment as well as ascended to nirvana. For that day, my roommate says Thais can visit the Buddhist temple and march around the temple in memorial.
Continue to pray for our work, as we share the work of Jesus with the Thai people and how he died and rose again for them! "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:42
